Castrol Edge 0W-30 (API-SP) vs. Castrol Edge 0W-30 LL

From what I gather it would need to have <800 PPM Phosphorus to meet SP. Whether there is a calcium limit for SP it's been the trend to reduce calcium at the very least towards reducing LSPI.

EDIT: I just bing searched & this link seems to say the same from PQIA. That there is no limit for Calcium for SP but the trend is there to reduce it.
https://pqia.org/2021/03/11/above-and-below-average/#:~:text=Although there are currently no minimum or maximum, provides a sense for the levels typically seen.
I know I've read that there are certain elements that are LSPI "quenchers" (eg. Mo, Zn, Ph, and maybe magnesium).

But that should be pretty easy to see on a VOA.

I wonder if there are non-metallic ingredients that can mitigate LSPI.

Those oils are sold only in EU, but things can change. I would go with the Castrol 0w-30 C3 oil over the LL
Which oils?

The Edge 0W-30 LL I posted the photo of was a barrel of bulk oil at a Hyundai dealership in the USA.

They use it to service the Hyundai N cars (Veloster, Kona, Elantra), which call for a 0W-30.

Around me I cant tell if it is the stores doings or Castrol themselves .....but the stocked Castrol on our shelves is in constant flux and never the same available when you go back within weeks. All kind of different Castrol types going and coming for some reason.

I’m not really considering using it.

I just saw a post on the Elantra N subreddit where someone was asking if it is the correct

spec that the N cars call for, and it’s actually not:

I am still curious what the Ca levels are, since it doesn’t meet API-SN+ or SP.

What’s the difference between Castrol Edge 0W-30 (API-SP) and Castrol Edge 0W-30 LL?

I haven’t been able to find much about the “LL” version.
i have posted about these oils once more.

castrol's data sheet is confusing (and its not the first time)
in europe there are two 0-30
this one ,which the description says API SN:

but when you go onside to the data sheet you see its written API SP. so go figure:

maybe the description is from old formula ,api sn and inside the data sheet is the updated one,api sp.and the forgot to update the description . the only way to figure out if that is the case ,is to find an older API SN data sheet to compare since there isn't any older in that data sheet .

and the second one is the acea 3 ll version:

this one is also posted there with a barell ,since i think its mostly used from dealerships and individual specialist services.you can barely find it in the market.

in a UOA i found out sometime ago, dont remember where, ll had very good results.

In Australia Castrol LL is Long Life 04 which is for BMW diesels with DPF and low sulphur fuel.
Not sure this applies in this case.
