Played RockAuto Roulette with some close out filters for my 1997 Yukon 5.7 non-oil cooler, which uses the squat stocky filter. If I’m reading this date code (030107B1) correctly, these are some 2007 Wix era CQ Reds that we’re akin to the Napa Pro Selects of their day. Everything about this filter seemed good except for the media, which was dry, thin and ripped with very little thumb pressure. Nitrile was very supple and the metal caps were still very snug. These were sold as UltraPowers and shipped from Texas. I got two for $1.34 each. I will not use the other based on the paper in this one.
