Carquest Oil Filters on Rockauto Wholesale Closeout

Heads up that there are several different Carquest oil filters on closeout on RA. All are under $2. I got 4 of these for $.61 each:

As always shipping will be the killer but may be a good deal for some. They had some sway bar links I wanted so adding on the filters didn't cost me anything.

Also reminder you can sort by vehicle and what's on closeout. Good way to score air filters and random stuff like light bulbs and lug nuts too.

Nice find. These are the CarQuest Reds, so their standard 5K filter. Haven't seen one of these cut open in a while. Still Premium Guard, or?

Shipping will get you, but if you need something else, then throwing these in the cart won't add much more in shipping.

Ordered 45 filters for an average cost of $1.58 per filter including shipping (not including tax)

I found some Ecogards for the 5.9/6.7 CTD at $1.03 ea, less expensive than even the CQ at $1.28. However I ordered the last seven of the Ecogards

Beyond that I mostly did common GM applications (51042, 51060 equivalent), the ubiquitous Dodge/Jeep 51085 equivalent, and Toyota cartridges for both the 3.5 V6 (Highlander etc) and a dozen for the Tundras.

Just ordered another 21 for various applications like Toyota's 4.0 V6 and the 6.6 Dmax. This time average cost $1.85 per filter.

.....and then I realized I forgot the Pentastar. Got a few for the older versions and a dozen for the newer versions (as well as older with the aluminum cooler housing which converts to the new filter).

This time ~2.02 per filter, so not quite as good but still a million times better than my pricing through O'Reilly

I'm tempted, but I have like 30 Premium Guard Standard filters, plus 10 Pentius filters, plus 15 OEM (Made in Japan) Mazda Filters. All these for just two Mazda vehicles.

I also have a case of OEM Hyundai plus half a dozen WIX Gold (Old Stock, not the M&H junk.) These are for my two sons Hyundai and Kia in signature.

I don't need any. Really, no, I don't need them....just no.

They were wholesale close out, and under $2.
I didn’t use them but the one I cut looked fine.
