I was looking on the CarQuest website and saw this. CarQuest was a bunch on independent auto stores where Advanced Auto is a chain.

Mainly concerned if I can still get the Deka made batteries at CarQuest.

Federated/Fisher Auto Parts has Deka in this area at a decent price FWIW. Not sure about Carquest anymore. Another thing is CQ oil isn't Valvoline anymore. It's made by Amalie. I use it and it seems OK.

Very old news, as in years.... IT was good in some ways and bad in others. It brought availability of CQ branded parts to the Advance stores which were sometimes better quality.

Gonna say no, but it might vary on your location. The Carquest in town only carries Autocraft batteries like they have at Advance. But I notice at the Advance's they carry CarQuest branded parts; it's a confusing circle!

The Car Quest in our town now has a AAP sign on the front . I have seen a few Car Quest parts on AAP web site .

I get Speed Perks email discounts from AAP . Usually check prices , using the discounts .

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. It has been a transition over the past few years and signage has now started to be put up. I know I have had Carquest parts at my local AAP for a few years.

As for the battery selection, no idea.

If you want East Penn batteries, check out Batteries Plus. They carry EP-made Duracells.

I don't know where you are in NY, but Syracuse has both a Sam's Club (Duracell-branded Deka) and an East Penn distribution warehouse where you might be able to purchase Deka blems for less than half the cost of a new battery.

NAPA batteries are also sourced through East Penn, at least in some areas.

O'Reilly sources from East Penn and Johnson Controls (who is selling their battery business).

Advance seems to be using the CarQuest name as their house brand for parts, but they definitely changed some supplier relationships after the buyout happened.
