2005 Caravan- 107k miles. I have a squeaking noise that seems to be coming from somewhere in the rear suspension. I don't know much about suspension so I'm not sure where to start. We can hear it when driving whenever we go over bumps. I tried to just push down on the bumper to see if I could duplicate the noise with the van parked but I couldn't make it squeak that way. It is most noticeable at low speeds over bumps. Any ideas what it could be?

It's a squeaking? Could be bad sway bar bushing or bushing in the suspension itself. Bushings tend to squeak when they hardena sign they need to be replaced.

This is one possibility

Could be but they usually don't "Squeak" bad strut usually clunks.

But could be a strut tower bushing.

My guess is some kind of bushing.i would start with the sway bar and go from there.

From what I gather the sway bar links are a common problem. I'll have to get under the van and check it out.

Just wanted to point out that this vehicle has shocks in the rear, not struts. But I agree, the shock is likely not the cause of the noise.

Update! No suspension issues. It's just a noisy rear hatch
