Can't find Top Tec 4200 5W-30 New Generation 8973

So, all the while I just could have just used the oil that I've been using in my A6 TDI & my son's MB Sprinter and on top of that it would have been better than what I was using. LOL (or not). They were giving us the MB .52 spec. Liters for $6., Also, when you go on the M1 site it recommends the ESP 0W-30 for my TDI, not 5-30, not sure why.
I still don't fully understand why the M1 site, when you input my '17 & '18 3.0 Audi models, that it comes up with the "lesser" non ESP 0-40 and 5-40 weights. If the ESP (0 or 5W) is the better specked product, why would they not promote it?

I don't believe the majority on this forum neither uses nor advocates use of "oil finders".

2. Profit or just good enough mentality regarding setting up the oil finder.

Agreed but, someone without inside information or tech. expertise cannot be sure of that. To someone like me, it could be that the oil has, or has not, something very important. Maybe someone here actually knows the answer, but I don't. And just an uneducated opinion, I really don't need a 0W and think that the OE recommended 40W is better for hot weather and stop and go driving. I could be wrong.

Some manufacturer specs are important, some are just for show and too keep the paper trail in order.
I do not believe Mobil or any other oilfinders spend any real time updating the catalog to reflect new (backwards compatible) specifications.
What else would we discuss on BITOG

So, 0 or 5-30 ESP, I have no need for a 0 but if the specs are better I'll go with it? They also have an ESP X4 0W-40 for the newer gas particulate filter vehicles.
