I have a washstand with a marble top, probably from 1870 or so. I would like to buy some candle holders of the same vintage that would have been used on a washstand like this. Each candle pedastal is 8.5 inches by 4 inches deep.
I have no idea what type candles, or candle holders would have been used on this washstand in that time period.
I have not seen pics showing any candles.

Pics of my wash stand. ( I'm going to use it in my pool table room to set glasses on.)

Any suggestions?

Wow, my grandparents had that exact same stand. Like exact - drawer handle medallions, how the marble stands are supported in a "T", etc. are all the same. How long have you had that one??

They had hurricane lamps on theirs. Blue colored oil in them because the bathroom color scheme was blue and white. Always looked good.

I just got this. It was at a mom and pop antique shop, and i loved how it looked. Everything about it looks to be about 1870 or so.

I also would like to have a key to fit it. That may be hard to figure out.

It would be wild if somehow i managed to buy and post pics of the cabinet they once owned!!

Could it have been sold and made its way to NC?
