I've always had all those drinks with Coke. Now I can't, too much sugar. If I want to enjoy them at all I have to drink them on the rocks. I lke that, though it took a while.

Now, I have to find anything I've ever had and try it over ice. Plus all the things I haven't tried and then try them. It's a tough job but somebody's got to do it.

While I really enjoy bourbons, scotch has tasted the best overall. Even tequila can be enjoyed over ice. But I really don't like any of the Canadians. That family just doesn't to anything for me.

A nice peaty scotch any day of the week would be fine.

Any decent whiskey should be sipped neat.
A good Scotch or a good Irish is nice to sip neat.
Everything else is for mixing.

Wow.

I wish JHZR2 was still with us. Because i'd tell him that "it never seems like heartburn in a glass to me..."

On many occasions i wish that I didn't find it so appealing. I'd be better off.

For general drinking (on da rocks), most Canadian whiskey (mostly rye whiskey) are great...

For casual drinking amongst friends: some avg stuff Scotch mixed whiskey like Grant's or Ballentine's works out to my satisfaction.

Single-malt scotch are a bit pricey but nevertheless, good if not unique drinking experience.

I like Crown Royal black a lot these days, come close to that of a decent bourbon whiskey...

Another one worth trying for is Gibsons Finest Rare 18yrs old, or even the 12yrs old (sterling?) gets my vote.
