Can you spot the evidence of a possible intermittent leak?

Went up for a few hours last week and didn't notice anything amiss during my pre and post flight inspections. Got looking closely at the pics I took and saw something I need to follow up on.

Interesting that whatever it was appeared in flight, but wasn't noticeable on the ground, having been spun and blown away. Figure the blade shank either got a little too much grease at the last service or I have some oil seeping from the hub.

I've seen that several times and makes the owner frown. Propeller overhauls are expensive.
Would that a varable pitch propeller or is their a gear reduction or oil from the crank? Aircraft is a Latin word meaning expensive.

This is a constant speed (variable pitch) propeller. There is grease in the blade retention bearings and pressurized oil in the hub.
