Looking at an engine, and trying to figure the second set of numbers that doesn’t seem to jive with what Briggs charts say. The first numbers make sense, the second set of numbers are supposed to be the date code, and according to Briggs should be like this:

Code 01061201 would be
01-year
06- month
12-day
01-assembly plant

My number is 0386 01
So is it
03-year
8-month
6-day

01- assembly plant

??

The full numbers are
82232 0386 01 92120703

Amy help would be appreciated!

If you're interested in the date of manufacture for the engine its the 92120703 number we want to look at

the order of the number is year, month, day, assembly plant

in this case the year is 1992
the month is december
the day is the 7th
and the plant of 03 means the Rolla, MO plant.

Thank you, but according to the Briggs chart, what’s the second set of numbers refer to? The 0368 01?
