2001 Jeep 4.0. It appears it has regular green antifreeze. The owners manual says to use ethylene glycol antifreeze (of course it says MOPAR). I have 2 gallons of Peak, would this be safe to use?
I can not think of a reason that it would not be a good idea. All I can sugest is to remember to mix 50/50. Remember more is not always better, if I remember right did you know that pure anti-freeze will freeze at zero degrees F.
I don't think the new 5-10 year 100-150K coolants are as good as they say.
We all know what happens to GM cars that run Deathcool.
My 02 Jeep came from the factory with Go-5 coolant. Supposed to be changed @ 60K. I changed it last week @31K because it looked terrible and was staining the inside of the radiator with rust colored stuff.
Maybe the old green stuff is best if chainged every 2-3 years?
