I went to walmart buy Mobil Clean 5000 ( new bottle ) and saw this super tech, look inside it have metal cage, I think this is none ecore filter. I wonder if I can go 6moth or 3k miles. its for my brother honda acord 1996, we went to college and drive 1-2 time a week short trip. most of the time he walk to class. ty

Don't see why not. Most any filter should handle that. The 96 would call for the shorter/wider 14459 (puro#)app, but the ST7317 (non ecore) should fit and work just fine.

Hex yeah! Get them.

Didn't realize the Super Tech3593A was the 14459 equivalent, but it is. Learned something. That's one of the few >3" dia. Super Tech filters that's not an ecore. Got the circular holes and not the slits too. Should work fine.

Ive been using an ST4967 on my yaris for nearly 11 months!!! Its also not an ecore. Ive got a stash of the ST3593A's ready to go on my honda's with confidence! Good filter and a great price!

3k miles is generally considered to be the minimum to run your car's oil and filter. What made you think that a SuperTech (or any other filter out there) can't handle it?

Glad to hear it. More people need to get on the non-ecore super tech filter bandwagon. Pretty decent filter for less than $3.00, Ive never seen a filter lower than an ST and I probably never will. If I didnt recently get a huge stash of purolators to last me the next 6 years Id be using ST's religiously.
