Super Tech ST3593A Honda accord

Can this filter run 5000 miles or 6 month ? I look inside the filter and it have metal cage, not plastic cage like those E core, I think this is None Ecore version. My walmart still have 4 left $2.64 each. Any one have one cut open ? How quality this is oil filter ? btw I put in mobil 5000 5w30 with Super Tech ST3593A for my brother 96 honda accord ls 2.2L 86k miles, he going to MSU college tomorrow, and he go home every 5-8 month, and mabe 2000 miles between those time.

I would have no problem using that filter. I prefer a silicone anti drain back valve for the cold winters where i am at.

It's hard to find a good cheap filter in that size.

I recently completed a 6 month OCI on my wife's Cavalier. It had Motorcraft semi-syn and an e-core Supertech 3387. It had about 4500 miles on it and it looked fine when I took it off (no, I didn't cut it open).

So, if you found a non e-core Supertech, I'd say run it with no worries.
