I was thinking of using one in-line with the PCV system on a supercharged Ford application to catch engine oil (misting that can clog the intercooler and throttle body).

I was told to get something with a filter element that can handle a hot oil bath... but I don't see how this is even a problem. The oil MAY be hot but I'm trying to catch a small quantity of this stuff, mostly airborne/mist stuff not a direct spray of engine oil.

Do you think it'd be ok to use?

As long as the PSI and temperature of the air/oil is not more than the filter can handle, it won't be a problem. Check your email Metro, Joe

I'm currently using this on my PCV (I believe it's the MP5138 and you can find it at WalMart for $12). I found out about this from a Lightning website. You might want to check out the larger PA2121 filter, which is only $19.99. The filter brackets have to be ordered directly from CH, though. It's about $5 for the bracket and $5 for shipping. I've been waiting for the bracket on my PA2121 (backorder), then I won't be using the mini filter anymore. When this arrives, I can sell you the filter, the mounting brackets (CH sent me extras), as well as brass 1/4 NPT to 3/8" barb fittings to splice your pcv line. I have elbow fittings as well as straight. I'm just mentioning this to you because I won't have any use for it and will give it to you for cheap. PM me if you're interested.
