wouldn't it be the balance wheels total degree of rotation per tick cycle?

and yes agreed ETA makes amazing ebauches for incredible reasonable prices. The small block chevy of movements.

Your movement isnt too far off COSC .

Look at your phone for the exact time, and leave the watch on for vanity reasons if that is needed. There are display cases for collectors to show off.

Not everyone understand or can appreciate the joy of tuning a mechanical device to its utmost capability, but your point is well taken.

To me - mechanical watches as a hobby have nothing to do with telling time, and exists to augment my relationship with time.

There is no reason why a watch cannot be both nice to look at as well as functional.
 
FYI, I recently picked up another Orient Mako. When it's standing up in vertical position, accuracy is spot on.
