Cable to go adapter for external HD

I have the cables to go adapter. I was thinking of buying the Hitachi internal 1 TB HD to use with it. Or I could buy the Tiger Direct External HD 1 TB Iomego. With the Hitachi and the USB adapter I could put the Hitachi in a computer at some point. I could use an External HD Enclosure as well. I want storage for pictures and music.
