Our shop had installed a similar unit on one of our 5500 super heavy service trucks and found a huge difference in transmission temperatures, so I ordered this one at the same time as my exhaust manifold.
Transmission temperatures in my truck went from empty highway 110kmh (68mph) at 77C (170F) to 45C (113F). I replaced the missing fluid with Valvoline ATF +4. I will be going on a big trip in May with the truck and toy hauler, be interesting to see the temperatures then.
Install was mostly easy, only invented 2 new swear words and did not have an ATF shower.

My Sierra sees temps of 200f or a tad higher in the summer, 190f in the winter. Ordered something similar to yours from PPE. Hope to install it today if the weather holds.

Will you keep the unit installed during the winter?

Did our annual big camping trip, about 900 miles of driving. I have mixed results from this swap. Overall the transmission stayed a lot cooler, and at some points like low rpm up a 12% hill, the transmission did heat up to nearly the same as the engine coolant at 100C/212F but once there was enough speed to carry away the excess heat then the temperatures returned to normal quite quickly.
The only downside is that now I have had the top adapter fitting come loose and leak a pile of fluid. I have a ticket open with BD and we will see if it happens again, it could very well be that I did not get it tight enough the first time.
Overall I recommend this to anyone with a Ram truck with the 68RFE or Aisin. My next truck will get one as well.

So I installed the PPE bypass on my truck a couple weeks ago, so far the highest I've seen is 130f but we are still cooler than normal on average for the year.
