I bought some little rubber caps that fit over the ends of the plastic tube on my Mityvac. After I do an oil change, I cap the ends of the tube and hang it on a rack on my garage. After a half hour or so the residual oil in the tube has all drained down to the ends and I can pull the caps off and let that oil go into a used oil container. There is probably an ounce or so of oil in the tube each time and using that method keeps from having the dirty oil drip out somewhere it isn't wanted.

I wonder if using some tubing form refrigerator water lines would work. The plastic type.
As long as you can get to to seal the pump end it's probably worth a try.
