Busted plastic - baseball bat damage

I would go to the pick n pull junkyard for two reasons. First is to save money on the part and second is you will learn how the panel comes off so if you break something it will be the one in the junkyard.
Yep, good place to learn this stuff if its not on youtube. Also a good experience for the kids, to see where cars go at the end, see the guys that do a job that's actually hard dirty work...

Replacement part always will look best of course. JH's preferred way, so be it.

I voted, tape, but say NOT use regular so called duct tape. I hate that junk. It doesn't last worth a poop. Use Gorilla Tape, I have even repaired stuff and painted it. Did the job, lasted years - outside.! Comes in colors, black, but a reflector sticker over it would be sweet!

Tuck tape too, I've used little squares of it to plug holes in body and doors drilled from oil sprayers, and its essentially lifetime, and oil doesn't seem to bother it. Didn't try painting it, but might be fine too?

Never used Tuck. Might try. Still have plenty of black and white Gorilla
Tuck doesn't handle UV to well I find, but I think its got the same serious sticky glue as gorilla tape, and it works below freezing and sticky to everything. I had a couple rolls of it left from building our house, and now always have a roll around, just for odd jobs. Its a great way to make things watertight.
