As far as the original topic, I did not see the footage or pictures, therefore I really can't give an opinion. If it did happen like that, and it wasn't taken out of context...........then the "joke" was in very, very poor taste.

It did happen, Bush was making fun of Karla Faye Tucker.

You could probably dredge up a video clip someplace if you wanted to see it.

I was actually referring to the original topic of the "looking for WMD's" joke.

PRRPILL, I'm sure Rumsfeld would be very proud of you. Instead of focusing on the content of my post, just imply that I don't respect our service men and women. And base your post on what-ifs and might-have-beens. Nice. And the "Bush isn't anti-islamic" thing was a nice touch too. Way to distract from the issues at hand! Kudos. And the word "crusade" is not strictly a referrence to the eleventh century. Shows your "learning."

And I just re-read my post four times and I don't see where I said it was entirely his intel... way to distract and deflect AGAIN! But it was Bush who convinced us it was undeniably true, so that is on his shoulders.

But let's not hijack the thread, shall we, by trying to tie this to phantom catastrophies and falsely asserting than "people like me" are pro-Saddam.

Bush made light of something very, very serious in very poor taste. This ranks up there with "bring 'em on." I wonder how you'd feel if YOU lost a friend/sister/father/etc in Iraq, and Bush made a joke like this.

Again, I say: he is not the victim of either emotional or physical loss. He is not being self-deprecating. He is making light of others' losses.
