I know that used motor oil is a no-no, but was wondering if used ATF, since it isn't used with combustion, would be a no-no. I haven't soaked them yet, and have noted that several bypass users burn their soaked TP rolls, but was wondering if a bonfire would be a good place to burn one.

pollution wise, I would think it was just about the same as used motor oil.
Throw it in a VERY HOT fire rather than using it to start, higher temperature will burn it much more thoroughly.
none, just wondering if burning the ATF would be a safe way to use it.
Recycle it. It will smoke and stink, unless you can burn it in some kind of turbine to ensure close to 100% combustion.
Burn it.

Agreed, throwing it in a bonfire that is already going and has a nice hot bed of coals would be the way to go. It will combust cleanly and quickly that way.
