At one time I had quite a bit of oil stashed and lately haven't had much oil hanging around except for a few quarts for the next OCI.
This week I picked up 18 quarts of NAPA 5w20 SB made by Valvoline, a 5 qt jug of ST FS 5w20, and a 5 qt jug of Valvoline 5w20 SB on amazon. This was the first time I've ever bought oil on amazon. Someone here posted a link so I went for it. Evidently amazon can at times be a good place to find decent prices on brand name oil. I have Amazon Prime and got free shipping. This will last me about 3 years.

Me too. I was looking at people's oil porn pictures and am getting jealous. U can find a good deal online if price is right.

Here's my 85qt stash, built it with recent AAP and AZ sale. Total oil cost 65$

The way you have that, the strong downward red bottle diagonal balances well against the upward grey/black bottle diagonal with the yellow bottles as a interesting anchor, it all balances out. Beautiful.

Just don't tell anyone in person that you find 85qts of oil in plastic containers sitting in garage being beautiful hahhahah

I really tried to resist all the recent $2/qt & $10/jug full synthetic oil at AutoZone recently.....

But, man.... it's just not selling?? Well, I'm about 40 quarts richer on oil again.

The RotGasTrk oil even has a rebate!!

With the 6 gallons of Valvoline synthetic 15W-40 I got earlier this year, I have enough oil for about 5 years at my current rates.

Time to start doing a few free oil changes for folks who really need it.

My wife doesn't care. Some guys drink a case of beer a week or smoke. I buy clearance oil.

I buy only grades my vehicles take. I've also found if you buy synthetic for $1-1.50/qt you can double your money by selling it on FB marketplace. I liquidated about half my stash a month ago for $100 in profit and took her out to dinner. It's a fun hobby for me.

She thinks i'm a bit loco but still appreciates it. Her car is always clean, freshly detailed, all fluids are never late on the change.

Can anyone tell Donald the first rule of oil stash?

I have never seen the value in buying large amounts of anything when the plan is to just stockpile it. What I see happen all too often, even here, is that someone buys a large amount of some product at a perceived great price, then it just sits on a shelf until it's obsolete.

I've done this myself self too many times when I was younger, only later did I realize I was wasting money when I rediscovered my treasured stash 15 years later, and with no current need for it.

I have enough oil for one oil change and a filter, the cost of buying and storing more than you need, even on sale, rarely pays off.

Oil goes on sale so frequently that it's not hard to get it at a significant discount at just about anytime.
