I bought these from Amazon for $29 dollars more than Centric 120-series from RockAuto. Wondering what the analysis is on these. Says they're "manufactured under QS-9000 and ISO 9001 certifications" and "the run-out tolerance is only 0.0025", about half the industry norm".

Are they worth the added cost? Or paying for a name?

I bought a set for my BMW 750i, the regular level rotors and pads. It was a whole car kit. I was not impressed at all, OEM's were much better.
Brembo is new in aftermarket pads and they focus on ceramic POS.
Their rotors are always good and OE on BMW M models.
I personally would not go their pads.

Maybe it was the pads that blew, but all I know is that the combination was very aftermarket quality braking. OEM BMW, even when word down all the way, was by far much better in all ways.

In my experience, any decent rotor is fine. When I have used factory pads, I have been very happy.
I have been happy with Centric, Akebono, Raybestos Element 3, Textar... But factory pads fit and overall performance is pretty darn good.

CEntric 120 is bottom of the barrel for Centric.

At least those Brembos have the "UV" coating for corrosion resistance, which the 120's do not have (no Geomet or E-coat)

Don’t understand? My point is it is quality product and I wouldn’t use Brembo aftermarket pads too, as I ALREADY said.
You're not getting F1 racing technology in OEM placement grey cast iron rotors.

and since those rotors don't seem to be side specific, it must be indicative of low quality

Soft? Spongy? What was the deal?
Maybe softer pedal feel, but without a doubt the brakes took further to stop than the OE equipment at same pedal location. At the end of a stop using the brakes, I would have to really press the pedal to get the car to stop, like the brakes ran out of stopping ability when decelerating below 10 mph.
And yes, I power flushed the braking system, and there was no air trapped in the system.

Just saying, if I had to buy brake parts again, I'd go OEM at least for BMW's.

There is a reason why Brembo brakes are on Formula1 cars and Centric are not! View attachment 95651
Completely different animal dude. Brembo like many other brands have tiered products. You cannot compare a $20000 F1 rotor to a passenger car rotor. Do you think the Brembos on a ferrari are the same as the ones on a Kia Stiger? Don't get me wrong Brembo isn't going to put out junk, after all they do have a reputation to protect, and passenger vehicle brakes have completely different design and operating parameters than super car or racing brakes. Racing pads and rotors are useless on the street and passeger car brakes are useless on the track (in general terms)

many BIG NAME manufacturers live off their reputation for high end $$$$ stuff but also make just ok stuff at a higher price + as noted the lower quality items are made in china like most others!!!

I yet to put side specific rotors on my cars, and yet, I track BMW with regular ATE rotors.
However, I am absolutely shocked beyond belief that rotor from Amazon doesn’t have F1 racing technology.

I have ATE rotors made in China that i have regular pads on and then slap track pads on and take it to the track. No sign of excessive wear etc. and they were $52 a piece.
Thing is that with companies like this you are getting more consistent quality, regardless where they are made.
