It's against the Public Interest that our government allowed
the mega-merger of Exxon with Mobil and the merger of Conoco with Phillips.

There's not enough price competition, and the American people are paying through the nose. It's time to break up the oligopolies, just like the AT&T monopoly was broken up.

Your phone bill dropped dramatically, and so will fuel prices.

They said they did it to give us lower prices and better products? You mean it was all lies!

Ah - punish success. The NEW American way.

Think Globally? Import Chinese khrap.

Act Locally? Punish our own companies!

Way to go guys. Look at the gas stations and refineries in your area, they are not ALL Mobil. We have BP, Conoco, Arco....refineries....oil from Alaska.....many Shell, etc gas stations.....

Yep, they did it down here.

Caltex were allowed to buy Esso, as our regulator assured us that it would not "SUBSTANTIALLY" reduce competition by reducing market players to 4.

Apparently their decision was correct.

They have never found fault with petrol price rises while crude oil prices rise.

Nor have they had issue with petrol price rises while crude oil prices dropped.

So petrol can rise regardless of inputs, as it is the way of things, regardless of competition
