I have a thread in the bypass section about an install on a CAT C-18.
Here is a sample pull from one of those C-18's.

Cat C-18
Factory filled with 19 gallons of CAT DEO 10w30
Factory full flows (2)
Bypass Filtration
315 hours on this sample.
Oil has not been changed.

Here are the details.

Not familiar with the CAT oil; is it CJ-4 compliant?
The TBN is very strong after 300 hours.

Wear, as expected with bypass, is very low.
Soot at zero?

Lot's of hours left in that load.

My two favorite lines above:
"Appearance NORMAL"
"Odor NORMAL"

Yeah - but how's it taste?

Yes it is a CJ-4 compliant.

The ROI comes really quick with these engines.

Pretty typical. If the number rises even the slightest on the UOA i can go out and usally find a exhaust leak getting sucked into the intake. Those can be fixed quickly.

I think I will go out and pull another UOA in about a week. Should be over 500 hours then.

Taste like chicken! I can cut quite a bit of info out of the UOA report. To much data.

Correct.

Another great example of how properly spec'd fluids can provide stellar performance, even if they are (gasp) thinner and of conventional stock.
