my car has 30,000 miles. the mechanic said my brakes, all 4, have around 10,000 to 15,000 miles left.

do i replace the pads and the rotors both?

can you suggest a good brand?

The only way to know if the rotors need to be replaced is by measuring them. If the measurement is okay, you can have the rotors machined. However, if your rotors warped easily, replace them with some premium grade rotors. Premium brake pads will serve you well also.

You can put off the service 10,000 miles.

Also, have your brake fluid flushed at the same time your brake pads get replaced. A fluid flush every 3 years extends the life of all hydraulic parts in your brake system.
