Brakes on my suburban were getting thin and rust creeping on the friction surface to the point where I noticed the rear brakes doing more work. They have had a rattle for 20000 miles now but nothing looked out of place or felt loose so I figured it was pads rattling. Not so munch….

Previous owner had replaced front brakes and hubs before I bought it in 2015 but the wheel speed sensors went bad so I had to pull everything down to replace them. Put new studs on one side because they ground half of them off to remove the mushroom when they knocked them out. The wheels have never come loose and where still nice and tight even though the crappy aftermarket rims on it don’t have the proper GM hub pilot.

For those of you not familiar with this setup the rotor is on the inside of the hub. The hub and studs have to be removed to remove the rotor.

Got new Raybestos E3 pads and rotors. Also got all new hardware for the hub and caliper. Will post more pictures when I get it apart.
