Something is definitely not kosher with the additive levels that low. The zinc and phosphorous should be almost double what they are.

Yeah, these are the things holding me back from using it grr. I am at least noticing that the mainstream brands are at least consistent with what they say. These boutique oils i dunno..... its easy to say it on a label or msds, but the VOA are what counts.

Why i am concerned is that here is Australia, we seem to get the rubbish from the U.S. People will say that Pennzoil don't use Group 1 anymore, but heck we have a imported version from U.S of Pennzoil GT street machine and guess what, its Group 1 ! Still a good very good oil though for 5000k's. Group 1 is still widely used here in Oz as we have heaps of it. We only have a population of 22 million, so easy to market it here. Just makes me feel that if Brad Penn had dodgy stocks, whats stopping them from having sending it here......again this is all unqualified/no evidence pure assumptions, but i need to see the figures...

Brad Penn Penn Grade 1 Racing Oils are high quality basestock, high detergent, heavily additive-fortified oils. Many racers and engine builders swear by the oils but they are way under-advertised. I'm lucky. I can order it from my local Napa or Brad Penn salesman. I run the straight 40 wt. in my '68 Coronet 440. There is a VOA of the 40 wt. in the Virgin Oil Analysis section if you care to look. Pretty stout race oil.
