Boys (Men) and their toys......

I sold my Daily Driver Nissan Rogue and bought an early 2020 JLU Jeep Sport Willys in Sarge Green. I sold my YJ 1.5 years ago and have felt empty ever since. My wife hated the YJ, but loves the JLU, so hopefully that leads to a more happy time together.

I finally decided that having a toy as a 3rd vehicle isn't practical or fun. Just buy what makes you happy for a daily driver, even if a little salt is going to damage it. Most cars are actually junk when rust sets in anyway. Fluid Film to the rescue.....

Mine are guns
I’m on week five waiting for my 2 pistol permits to get “blessed by my local police” so I can go carry gun shopping for real and then even more arduous crap to follow after that to get the carry permit. Texas or Florida is looking better . Such a ridiculous requirement in my state.

Yeah man. Texas. We don't even need a permit to carry.

They say we never grow up, our toys just get more expensive.

So what is/was your favorite "toy"?

Mine was my Kawasaki Vulcan cruiser motorcycle I sold a few years back.

A buddy of mine has a powered parachute he loves to fly.
I loved riding my Vulcan 900 LT, but could not ride it after my daughter's accident. It's okay, I still have lots of other toys, including the Searay 185.

I'm very fortunate to have very few wants and the few pleasures I indulge in are at a minimalist level (fishing, hunting, hiking). I suppose my favorite right now are my trains. Modeling has many facets one can partake in: constructing models, scenery, collecting, socializing, and operations (running trains similar to real world). Our club just set up at a local kid's museum for 2 months. It can be expensive if one chooses. A finisished, detailed, DCC (digital command control), engine with sounds can cost $100 -$200+.
I have shared this pic numerous times: .............Upper Peninsula Michigan Tech Univ. Ford Center Sawmill

I am too immature behind the wheel of a car like that (I'm 48) to own one, thought it is a dream car to me. That is why I got into Jeeps. Slow.....
I have a ‘14 and a ’22 JGC, both are 3.6’s. Perfectly fine for daily use. The HC is a fair weather retirement toy. I’m 72 and didn’t get it until I was 64. So, you still have lots of time. 😉
