They say we never grow up, our toys just get more expensive.

So what is/was your favorite "toy"?

Mine was my Kawasaki Vulcan cruiser motorcycle I sold a few years back.

A buddy of mine has a powered parachute he loves to fly.

Well I had this toy long time ago just for liberty weekend fun when I was a sailor in the Philippines Subic Bay. Had too many moving parts and it got expensive I finally gave it away.

Worked best at the beach. They used to say, 'He who has the most toys wins.' Sometimes you can have too many.

At this moment my 9 days old (in my possession) new 2024 Honda Ridgeline RTL truck. Spending too much time on forums and too much money on "stuff" but not going into debt for it and retired so why not. At various points in time a Honda CT-70, BMW R100/7, Porsche 911S, Sheridan Blue Streak .20, and now the RTL. Plus other stuff along the line to varying degree.

My current toy is, as a bonus, my daily driver. 2024 VW GTI is a blast when pushed and very livable when just doing A to B stuff.
It got high praise from one of my favorite YouTube car people Savagegeese.

My past toy was a 2003 Softail Deuce that I had totally built out. Wasn’t riding it much there at the end and got great offers every time it was in a show and I finally let it go.

Right now it's our RV my hobby and what I enjoy doing. Currently don't have any room for toys at our current place. If the land deal goes through I'll have plenty of room! Already looking at WD45's and 4 wheelers. Dad has a Kubota that I can borrow for everything else but will get one of my own eventually.

I'm very fortunate to have very few wants and the few pleasures I indulge in are at a minimalist level (fishing, hunting, hiking). I suppose my favorite right now are my trains. Modeling has many facets one can partake in: constructing models, scenery, collecting, socializing, and operations (running trains similar to real world). Our club just set up at a local kid's museum for 2 months. It can be expensive if one chooses. A finisished, detailed, DCC (digital command control), engine with sounds can cost $100 -$200+.

My brother just went to a train show. He is building a set in his basement.
