I tend to think so, but this is a luxury car and I assume low production? might not be wise to use this one model to condemn the rest of the brand. So the quality issues of Hyundai/kia are reality?

Nah. Low production luxury car. The mainstream Hyundais and Kias are pretty good IMO. Other than 4 cylinder engine explosions. So the quality issues of Hyundai/kia are reality?
Yup, I knew that when I bought it. I knew the warranty I bought was going to be up at 143k miles and that I'd sell the car at 142k miles. No offense, Nick.
However, we have learned that the life expectancy of a Genesis is about 80K miles, and the original owner knew that.
After that, it is patch, patch, patch.
Genesis with an extended warranty is way more interesting.I'll get me a Toyota next
five Kias and a Hyundai with no problems other than the second generation Soul with direct injection required checking the dipstick. So the quality issues of Hyundai/kia are reality?
I was going to ask that color name. The last new Chevelle I bought from a dealer came in a very similar color. Nice looking machine. Bet it is sweet cruising.Sevilla Red, a rare early launch color for the Sport trim model. It’s a little darker than Havana Red that replaced it.

Absolutely. I LOVE this car, I just can’t own it after the warranty is up. I had a hole in my heart from selling the first one, had to get that itch scratched.Genesis with an extended warranty is way more interesting.
It is absolutely a sweet cruiser.I was going to ask that color name. The last new Chevelle I bought from a dealer came in a very similar color. Nice looking machine. Bet it is sweet cruising.
The current crop of Lexus models are just Toyota with a Lexus badge outside; thanks TNGA.Maybe a Lexus next?![]()

Nick's not getting any younger. Could be a good fishing spot. And the free pedicures at the dealer for the middle-aged Karen clientele.
I know you’re looking for performance luxury ride… but have you contemplated the Camry? Solid, safe, reliable transportation. Or if it just has to be RWD, then what about a Vic? can’t go wrong with there.Maybe a Lexus next?![]()

Yeah, I'm thinking of more simple transportation. Camry, Avalon, ES350, or maybe an older LX460. We shall see, I've got 2 more years. I started looking into it but then I just might actually start looking into it! Don't want to do that yet lol. The Genesis is almost paid off.I know you’re looking for performance luxury ride… but have you contemplated the Camry? Solid, safe, reliable transportation. Ha! I was actually joking (witness the Vic comment). I’m contemplating a Volvo just for size and utility—and I hate to say it, comfort. This looks like a week where I will need to go in office all 5 days—at an hour each direction I’m both wondering how did I do this for years, and starting to dread doing it in my Corolla. In hindsight, I always did it in something larger (Jetta, Camry or Tundra).Yeah, I'm thinking of more simple transportation. Camry, Avalon, ES350, or maybe an older LX460. If you got something like an Avalon or something with the 2GRFE V6, they get really good highway mpg. We took my aunt’s ‘16 Avalon on a 5k mile road trip and did not drive it easy. 80+ mph on interstate and driving in mountains and national parks, averaged 28.8. The last stretch from Montana to Phoenix was 80-85 mph average, cruise set and we averaged just shy of 32.Ha! I was actually joking (witness the Vic comment). That’s the same as what my MIL’s RX350h gets at 75+. On paper, more power than the 2GR-FE, but worse harmonics. If you got something like an Avalon or something with the 2GRFE V6, they get really good highway mpg. Sort of, the car he’d be interested in likely would likely be the LC500 which Toyota offers nothing close to it. It is an epic sounding V8 and nothing on interior makes you think Toyota . It’s next level vehicle. The current crop of Lexus models are just Toyota with a Lexus badge outside; thanks TNGA.
