Awesome ride enjoy the truck!
Couldn't agree more. GMT800s are peak Tahoe/Burb.Congrats! One of my "babies" as I was part of the T1 launch team while in Arlington where they're built. But if there is anyway to keep that 800 as well -- I would! It is worthy of you keeping it from all the things you fixed and for what they give in trade or sell for - more valuable as a back up car.
As mentioned, it needed a PDI, which is an hour of tech time. Why don't you get to take it home today
The lifter issues on the the newer vehicles are not widespread.Congratulations!
Did they resolve lifter issues on that 5.3?
That's great-the OP just plucked down $75,000.00 or so and you are telling him to void the warranty. Did you see my thread about my (2023) 5.3 Silverado towing my 5,000 pound travel up to Leadville, CO running 0W/20-up 9,000 foot passes in 90 degree weather?IMO: buy two containers of any dexos 0w-20 oil with filter (preferably an Endurance or Premium guard XL) and document that receipt. then return 0w-20 and fill with 5w-30 every 6k miles. you will hear a dramatic difference in valve train noise on the LT motors.
