I like it a lot. My BIL got the 24 Yukon AT4 (same engine and trans.) in January. Does soccer dad duty as well as long runs. He runs it hard and puts it away wet on a regular basis. No TLC. I am watching to see how it holds up. He only does minimal maintenance and it is being run in Michigan so it sees lots of salt. He will probably have 35,000 miles on it per year.

He usually runs his vehicles to 200,000 miles and trades for new.

Congrats! One of my "babies" as I was part of the T1 launch team while in Arlington where they're built. But if there is anyway to keep that 800 as well -- I would! It is worthy of you keeping it from all the things you fixed and for what they give in trade or sell for - more valuable as a back up car.

Why don't you get to take it home today

As mentioned, it needed a PDI, which is an hour of tech time.
In our jurisdiction the tell that a vehicle needs a PDI is front plate bracket hasn't been installed.

Dealer list of things to do.

• PDI
• Software update check
• Recall check
• Finance - includes loan approval, proof of insurance, and upsell extras of course
• Licensing if req'd
• Detail

All this needs to fit into the shop, finance, detail and front sales workflow.
We have done same day deliveries, but it does take us several hours.

I find the ten speed in my 2023 Silverado 5.3-very smooth.

IMO: buy two containers of any dexos 0w-20 oil with filter (preferably an Endurance or Premium guard XL) and document that receipt. then return 0w-20 and fill with 5w-30 every 6k miles. you will hear a dramatic difference in valve train noise on the LT motors.

The lifter issues on the the newer vehicles are not widespread.

That's great-the OP just plucked down $75,000.00 or so and you are telling him to void the warranty. Did you see my thread about my (2023) 5.3 Silverado towing my 5,000 pound travel up to Leadville, CO running 0W/20-up 9,000 foot passes in 90 degree weather?
