Bought a brand new Tahoe

Very excited to take delivery of it tomorrow.

It is a 2024 Tahoe Z71, 5.3/10-speed. Very well equipped. BOSE stereo, heated black leather, sunroof.

I really like GMs implementation of the 10-speed with the 5.3.

The exterior color is called Empire Beige Metallic. It reminds me of the Silver Birch Metallic.

To be honest it is a touch bittersweet to now know that the old 2005 will be sold, but I am very excited.

Earlier this year I joined an environmental management organization in an IT Operations role. Looking forward to some years of not messing with something while I can put some hard work in. To be honest, with all of the shops screwing up stuff on my 2005, which I inevitably have to fix, it has been getting old every weekend/few nights a week… fixing everything. Like 5 steps forward, 10 steps back. So this will be a nice change.

I work 10 hour days and by the time me and my wife got to the dealer was an hour before closing. This specific color was at their other location one town over and I think it still has to go through PDI and have its running boards put on. We did the dealing and it was almost 8pm.

Congrats! One of my "babies" as I was part of the T1 launch team while in Arlington where they're built. But if there is anyway to keep that 800 as well -- I would! It is worthy of you keeping it from all the things you fixed and for what they give in trade or sell for - more valuable as a back up car.

Congrats! Loved our 2021 Z71 Suburban for 60,000 miles til it got totaled. The Z71 is my favorite trim level on the Tahoe/Suburban.
