Bosch Workshop Oil Filter

I found a Bosch workshop (“WS” on the box) in my parts stash as I was gathering some things to work on the 94 BMW (M60 V8, 178k miles). I have no idea where it came from and don’t remember buying it - typically get oil filters from the local BMW dealer, change the oil based upon time at 1 year or so) but I am wondering if it is ok to use or if it is a POS. If it is I will toss it as it is not worth the potential aggravation. For those who aren’t familiar with this motor, it is a cartridge filter, no metal “can” etc. Thank you in advance.

Can you post a pic? The WS line is generally the commercial/jobber line but that shouldn't/wouldn't necessarily eliminate it. 'If' it fits well in the housing, and pleating looks good, 'should be' ok to use. Sight unseen comments.

To close this out, I did buy a BMW filter for comparison. Figured I could always use it now
or later. I think the Bosch looks better than I originally anticipated, but some of the gurus here can tell me if they disagree. Have a good day folks!

Edit: the photos loaded in reverse order, but the BMW one (Hengst) has the lighter colored medium and the tan circle on the bottom, not the white circle. Hengst was even more expensive at Napa than BMW. Kind of crazy!

Thanks for follow up and comparison to the Hengst. The Bosch WS still looks good to me, very useable. One important part of cartridge filters is fit in the housing. If the WS length the same as Hengst, Bosch WS should be fine. Seeing as no center core/tube, thinking it must be built into the housing on BMW.
