Bosch spark plugs

I had used the Platinum +2 in a Ford a while back, I wasn't happy with the way it ran. I pulled them and went with Autolite Platinum Plugs and it ran better. Some cars are fussy about plugs, I found Fords seem to run better on Autolite and Motorcraft plugs than Bosch. I haven't tried NGK plugs in a Ford but from what I heard they work well.

Short answer, post what application you plan on using them in and see what kind of answers you get for the specific application. HTH

Stay away! I've had two of the 4 'tips' fall off and into the cylinder. Bad quality all around. Luckily no damage

No problems with NGK yet!

I'm thinking NGK would be a better choice for a Honda 4 cyl car. IIRC that is what they used in the shop when I worked at a Honda Dealership.

I installed Platinum 2 plugs from Walmart 30k miles ago, and they work great, I been meaning to take them out just to check them. These replaced DENSO oem plugs in a Toyota, I had some Idiot tell me Bosch plugs wouldn't work in Toyota's.

I put Bosch platinum plugs in my 2002 civic and it resulted in random misfires that took the dealer to figure out to the tune of $150.00 for diagnosis and 4 new NGK spark plugs. I felt really stupid when I paid that bill!!

From now on I am going to go with the owners manual recommendations.

I used the +4's platinum in a 1995 Plymouth Voyager v6 ran them over 50,000 miles in 5 years never a problem good mileage and power; they were still in the van when it was t-boned by teeny-bopper that could not stay stopped at a stop sign and totaled.

I tried the Bosch Ir Fusion plugs in my car. Those are exactly like the Platinum +4 plugs, except with iridium plating. They did okay, but no better than the worn 2-tip NGKs they replaced.

I later swapped them out for BMW OEM plugs, which are also 4-tip plugs from Bosch, but their center electrode sticks way out past the grounds instead of being recessed and surrounded by them. Those plugs made the engine noticeably happier, especially on the top end.

When the +4 plugs first came out I installed them in a Honda.

About 3 months later the car had trouble starting, you would have to try 3-4 times and then the engine would barely start. Replaced with copper NGK and it was night/day with the correct plugs.

I would go with NGK or whatever your car came with, stay away from Bosch, my small block chevy ran better on AC Plugs than it did on Bosch Plugs, and I used the regular Bosch Plugs back in the day, not this +4 stuff.

I use ACDelco pllugs (which might even be made by NGK) in my GM cars and NGK in everything else. I might have cheap Autolites in my Jeep. Runs fine either way.

Champion plugs in both my Jeeps, lawn mower,weed-wacker,generator,water pump for years and never a problem...and just the cheap copper-core jobbers changing every two years

I heard the new Bosch IR Fusion plugs are pretty good. I have no personal experience with them though.

Bosch spark plugs are cheapest spark plugs made and are throw in the garbage can plugs.Chrysler products run like [censored] with them even Fords and GMs.I replaced a set of them with Champions in a PT Cruiser, the Bosch plugs looked brand new and failed. My father removes and throws Bosch plugs away and he hates anything with saying Bosch on it.My father does not trust any Bosch products.

t to know about Bosch, they screw up anything they buy out.Bosch did it to Vetronix already, service went down the drain. They bought out Frued,a woodworking powertool company which they wil screw up.Plus they screw their employees.A guy I know told me about, has a son in law that worked at a Bosch plant in Indiana and was layed off.Bosch closed the plant with no notifications. My father's bad experiance with bosch started with a circular saw, took it back with no power
