‘13 F150
annual RP342 cosmolone treatment along with some rust reformer spray.

I know some of these holes had tape from the factory but fell off or I removed and added more tape.

should these holes under the truck be open or tape them off again?

I live in centra NY.

That is a boxed frame truck correct? If so, I would flex seal them all closed up, at least for the salt season.
 
If it were mine, I would sand the rusted areas to bare metal, apply paintable aluminum tape where the tape was from factory, possibly coat in self-etching primer, then reseal with your undercoating of choice

Thanks. I don’t know where the tape was from the factory or if they should be taped.

Gorilla tape worked well.

Step 1: Clean the area around the slit in the abdomen to ensure dryness and cleanliness :oops:
 
Wondering how those drain.

I sprayed a lot of cosmoline and it ran out the bottom end where they are rusty (pinch weld?)

also, filled the bottom of the door where the pinch welds are. Amazing how much it took.
 
Once you spray an oil into a body cavity or boxed frame, you then can't use a paint similar to the eastwood frame product.
 
For those washing the rocker panels out in spring or other times, where do they drain?

spraying cosmoline in the big hole, you can see where it all drains. I can’t imagine lots of water, sand, and other debris making it out of the panels.
