I can't see it being worth putting a dime into the cheapo grills.

I have a $79 lowe's special grill. I forget the name, but it was 79 dollars with a tank, and they even filled the tank. I threw them a 10 percent off coupon on top of that, and walked out under 80 bucks for a complete setup.

Mine has the sideburner, going strong after 3 years. I keep a cover on it, and leave it outside.

The worst thing about it was putting the thing together, it was terrible.

I'll throw it out in a year, and buy another 79 dollar one.

Lower priced grills made today are throwaways. Doesn't suprise me a bit. I bought a $135 charbroil grill 5 years ago, and this year I had to replace the burner and vaporizor bar.

Just to pop this back to the top, the new burner came Tuesday via FedEx.

So they delivered on their word. I'll install it this weekend and char some animal flesh.

Just exchanged my tank for a Blue Rhino tank, FWIW.

The new burner has worked well enough to burn through two tanks of gas this summer :)
