Blade replacement

Whelp, I decided to take the blades of my two mowers; a newer Toro recycler and an ancient Craftsman, to sharpen and balance them. Got the sharpening done fine, but on the reinstall, I can't for the life of me figure out if the washers go on the bolt side or the blade side of the old craftsman. I was in a hurry to get the blades off and didn't really orient myself when taking them off. The Toro has a big plate that I'm pretty sure fits on the bolt side. Have you guys ever seen a mower that had washers fit on the blade side rather than the bolt side of the blade???

Typically, a washer fits under the bolt head. (or nut)
Now on my Honda, the "bracket" fits on top and the blade attaches with 2 bolts.
If the bracket was on the bottom, it would get beat up by rocks etc.

My craftsman has the washers on the "grass" side of the blade under a spring washer and the bolt head.

Most blade bolts are torqued 30-40 ft/lbs.
