Motorbike,

Although I've never met the guy, I'll join you in saying "GET WELL SOON!".

I don't know the story of his accident, but I myself low-sided a CB450F Honda here earlier this year and was fortunate enough to be traveling at lower speeds. Still hurt like a MF'er though!

Chris,
Next time you decide to fall off your bike, make sure to rub an oil loaded with moly, such as redline. Moly creates a solid film which prevents the skin from making contact with the road.

Get well soon!

God Bless, Chris. You are in my prayers. Keep reading here so you can laugh as much as possible !!

We keep in contact via email . He lives a zillion miles from me .

I left out all of the details that include the huge medical bills

Been riding for 20 years and simply got going too slow on a very low speed U-turn. Wife, gear and the force of the hill added up to dropping the bike on my left leg. Came close to losing my leg and spent 15 days in the hospital on Morphine starting July 7th. Complications and a severe break at the knee and the 2 bones just below my knee. Started with a Walker, then 2 crutches, then down to 1 and now I walk, for the past 2 weeks, like Fred Sanford...with a big limp. By the way, the final total for all medical bills came to about $140,000.
Thank God for Short Term Disability and a great Doctor. I had retuned to school to get a degree in Computer Networking and have been able to continue my schooling online during my recovery! It will be 6 months in January and I must be ready to return to work or I will loose my job.
Sure miss Bob here but I usually come here to sniff around a few times a day. Suppose I have to admit that my wifes car had to have an oil change at Walmart while I was due for my 4th operation. I promise not to let this happen again!

Thank you everyone for the kind words!! I never posted here since I do not come into "General and Off Topic".
