Has anyone heard of this stuff?
What exactly is it? http://www.bgprod.com/products/engineoil.html

The site says little to nothing about what it actually is, instead yammering on and on about testimonials and benefits... I know this is first line indication of hype and 'snake oil' but I'd really like to know WHAT it is... an add pack? polymeric VIIs? FMs? Is it like VSOT?

BG is a well known additive and it seems that it is hyped more by dealerships then an OTC item at parts stores. Dealerships our in the BG products and charge customers for them without even asking the customer if they want it, part of their service plan. Is BG any good, probably not any more so then other additives out there.

Most additves are not needed and unless you have a problem or an issue that you think an additive will help with give it a try. It has been around a long time and as noted, many dealerships promote it

I would stay away from this stuff, what is it made out of anyway. There products are good but they are over priced. If you want to add something to your oil do a Maintenance Dose of Auto-Rx.

A 3 ounce Maintenance Dose will go 4 times since it comes in a 12 ounce bottle. Basically a 12 ounce bottle will last for 4 oil changes. If you did that with BG MOA it would be like $80.00
