Been looking at BG EPR and MOA lately. Haven't purchased anything yet.

While looking on Amazon I can see 2 different BG MOA products: PN 110 and PN 115.

Does anyone know the difference?

Seems 115 contains less "stuff". Might just be a can of parafin. :)

As for the EPR ...
this seems like some "real good stuff". However, no can ship to South Africa and no distributor around here.
I'm interested in it due to suspected sticky oil rings.
What alternatives to EPR are out there? I am going to test out some Ravenol Professional Engine Cleaner on upcoming oil change and it seems to also brag about ring deposit removal.

I know Berryman B-12 is also highly recommended for sticky oil rings and trying to deal with high oil consumption in a GDI turbo engine, but again I can't seem to get this stuff imported.

Sorry, it's a 2017 VW Cross Polo 1.2TSI (CJZD engine).
66,000km on it.
Oil change this weekend and filling with Ravenol VST 5W40. Just over 5,000 miles since last change.

I'll give the Ravenol Pro cleaner a try for now. Just curious on those differences with the MOA.

Not technical on oils, etc.
What would the high ester oil do?
Just looking quickly at this: https://www.motul.com/cz/en/products/300v-power-5w40--2
The Esters will slowly, but surely, clean the gunk out of the rings. Just use the oil for regular OCI. That way you don't have to use a flush product and worry if it's safe for your engine seals and whatnot.
Of course, you can use a flush before changing to the Motul.

Thank you.
Ran some Ravenol engine cleaner through today and put in fresh Ravenol VST 5W-40.
Time for plugs too so will order this week and when they're out I'll do compression test just to get base numbers.

So I wound up with Ravenol VST as it meets VW 502 00. Was informed to avoid other VW requirements due to our high sulphur content fuels. Would Motul 300V have similar concern?

Time to do oil change. Going to try the Motul in a 5W40.

I can get a Motul Power 5W40 in 2L cans ($85 for 4L).
Then someone else is selling Motul Competition 5W40 in 2L cans ($100 for 4L).

The Power is available here:

Have used this store before for brakes without issue. Unfortunately this page goes from "Power" to "Racing" to "Trophy" in one quick swoop.

Competition 5W40 available here, but on request:

Should I aim for the Competition 5W40?
