Inspect the self service car wash before entering it. I entered one to do a quick spray of and afterwards, discovered screws, nails, and staples. The next morning, I checked tire pressures and all were good. Took a trip the next day and after 300 miles the tire pressure alarm came on. The left rear has a screw and staple. Just sharing my experience to hopefully help others avoid the problem.

Workmen shooting out their truck beds/boxes with the pressure washer?

More than once, during the morning hours in large grocery store parking lots, I've seen work trucks empty their entire truck in order to cull and reload the truck.
While generally neat, you can't tell me they were cautious enough to pick up every dropped fastener.
That would take effort.
And we all know expending effort cuts into one's, "I'm the only one who does any work around here" time.
