Better than a red blue map by state?

Nobody likes the Dutch!
Perhaps because when they say "If you ain't Dutch, you ain't much!" they aren't joking.

I have several friends of Dutch heritage, and they are good people, but I have known a number of the other type who truly appear to look down on the rest of us.

They used to flip flop them every election until around 2000, or they were otherwise unstandardized.
I don't remember the flip flop routine. But I have often wondered, how it was decided which party got red, and which got blue. Flip of a coin? Or was it more scheming than that?

Cooler colors, blue included, tend to be more calming and serenity, while warm colors, such as red, tend to trigger feelings of power, strength, and confidence.

But back to cats and dogs and kangaroos. Would a kangaroo be anywhere near as affectionate as dog or cat? IDK.

I don't remember them flip-flopping ever, but maybe it depended on what channel you watched. For all the elections I watched as a kid, Republican was blue and Democrat red.

I've even confirmed that by watching old broadcasts on Youtube. There were some exceptions, of course, like the networks that used colors other than blue, but if any of them used the colors like they do now I haven't found it yet.

Actually a dangerous animal - everyone tends to think of the kicks - but upper body strength and huge claws = bad news too …
