Check the level again...if low, it can lurch in gear change, especially when cold.I have to do flush this time because I already changed twice and the still feel the jerk in second gear.

Scroll down to #6 post on this link. And get ready for a shock. You will learn new stuff.Idemitsu fluid is not approved by Honda either. In that regard it is just the same as the other brands that are "compatible".
Idemitsu may very well make the fluid for Honda but that doesn’t make aftermarket Idemitsu the same fluid. The aftermarket fluid isn’t approved fluid either.Scroll down to #6 post on this link. And get ready for a shock. You will learn new stuff.

Max life is not compatible, it is not approved by Honda for nothing. It is not approved by Toyota either. Please show the data where all the supposed compatible transmissions have given the approval. Doing so will void a warranty if you have one.
It comes in 1 liter only now for CAD $25.90You can get a 5.25 qt jug of PENTOSIN ATF 9 on rock auto for $82
There is no dip stick in 2017 touring modelCheck the level again...if low, it can lurch in gear change, especially when cold.
I have enough ZF LG8 for one more change - but will eventually go to the newer Valvoline EP and run it a good while …This vehicle has a german transmission made by a company called ZF. Also Idemitsu doesn't make all of the fluids for all of the Japanese transmissions.
Honda 3.1 ATF or ZF Lifeguard 9 would be what I use. I believe they are identical.
Maxlife also reports compatibility!
That's another possibility. I was thinking of using that for my Tiguan the next time. So far I've seen zero reason to use VW branded fluid, or some expensive European equivalent.I have enough ZF LG8 for one more change - but will eventually go to the newer Valvoline EP and run it a good while …
LG8 is overpriced for what it is …
Did you scan the transmission control unit for codes? That's always the first step.I have to do flush this time because I already changed twice and the still feel the jerk in second gear.
