I stated earlier that I just bought a Cornwell wrench and I love it. I also have three Snap On wrenches in 3/8, 1/2, and 3/4 inch drives. They're the ones that are flat and have some kind of torsion bar arrangement. They're all over twenty years old and every time I sent them in to be calibrated, I got them back with no cost because they needed nothing. I paid the price in the beginning and it's paid off. The Cornwell is a dial type. Great for setting bearing preload.

That was the only reason I bought an inch-lb torque wrench. I have an OTC dial type and rebuilt many an axle with it.
Our transmission tech had a Snap-On inch-lb clicker which he swore by. Bad thing to mistorque an aluminum valve body.

Been using a 0 to 600 in lb Craftsman beam (3/8in dr) type for years, a Craftsman 0 to 150 ft lb beam (1/2in dr) for awhile, both work fine. Plan on spending a fair amount for good clicker, dial or electronic types.
