This scooter does not have a wet clutch. What do you recommend in conventional and synthetic. And how soon can I change over to synthetic.

I ride it around town with a few short high way trips at 55 to 65 MPH.

Thanks

You can change over to synthetic right away... there is no transition period between the two...

No need to run synthetic in it. It's a low-output engine that assumedly doesn't have an oil filter - might as well run dino and follow the factory maintenance schedule for peace of mind.

I'd run some Dino 10w-40 motorcycle oil. Granted, if it has a small sump and synthetic is only a few bucks more - why not?

Even though it does not have a wet clutch, I would use either Rotella T (conventional) or Rotella T6 (synthetic)--provided the viscosity is correct for your application. I am using T6 in my Brute Force 750i and T in my Baja 90s. So far Rotella performed very well in both and the cost is quite a bit less than the other 'matching' oils from Mobil or Sopus.

Just my $0.02...

Well I put some Rotella T 15W40 in it this morning. I am going to put a 1000 miles on it then go to Rotella T6 5W40 synthetic. Anyone see a problem with that.

It only holds .9 litre and has a screen for a filter.
