Best-looking oil bottles/labels

You're absolutely right GR! My apologis for the 'toe-stepping'!

I completely forgot about the clear QS bottles - they definetly go to the top of my list - you get to see exactly what you're buying! I can't belive someone didn't do this sooner!

Before I found this forum, I would buy which oil sounded or looked good.

conventional oil- 76, Chevron, Exxon, Motorcraft, Pennzoil
I find that the label on the 76 oil stands out, white bottle with orange and blue label. Chevron blue bottles are very visible on the shelf. Exxon has its signature red with the Tiger in front kind of like a cereal box. Same with Motorcraft, red bottle stands out. And Pennzoil with its signature yellow catches your eye right away.

high mileage- Chevron
The chevron has the gold color bottle stands out in the crowd.

synthetic blend- Quaker State
Quaker State synthetic blend has the clear bottle which is kind of unique, can see the oil.

synthetic- Quaker State
Same as the blend, clear bottle.

I find that bottles that have the label printed on the bottle directly look better than the sticker labels. It looks a little cheaper with the sticker kind label.

BITOGers have the design of all oil bottles seared into their memory, so pictures aren't necessary. Newbies would benefit from pics, but they probably think we're nuts for even bringing up this topic.

This is Hav when it was from Equilon.. the Shell/Texaco venture. And I believe you are correct, SH/SJ. I liked the really wide mouth, and there is a Texaco star cast into the cap.

No pics needed, the best looking bottles are the ones that have the original price "X"ed off and a new price of .99 or less in it's place.

I assume (and we all know what happens then) that the change was made when the relationship with Shell dissolved, and the merge with Chevron happened.
