I just a got a Williams m52a today from a flea market, $4, it's only 40 tooth - different from the advertisement. It's also got only a single pawl in it which is different from the b52, s52, and s53 that I have that are all dual pawl.

I put some lube in it, and I'm not disappointed. It is really smooth despite being only 40 teeth.

I really like SK ratchet handles... I have both the SK and Craftsman handles in the chest... the SK's get more work. The ratchet teeth are a little finer, so it works in tighter places.

I'm having great luck with John Deere ratchets. I have both the 3/8 and 1/2 and my only complaint is they are short handled. I have no less than 10 Snap on ratchets and my ego won't let me say the JD's are better, but I'll say they are really close. Nice looking, fine toothed, easy to keep clean, and I haven't had one problem with either of them in the two years I've owned them.
