(If I knew the name of that forum, do you think I would be here??)

There's actually a knitting forum "Ravelry" that's full of chicks. My wife is on there, but she doesn't know I know, you know?

There are actually some fairly complicated looms, yarn pulling doohickies, quilt making machines etc. Get into tinkering with them (maybe as "antiques") and the earthy chicks will follow.

If you can get in good with a yarn store you can teach spinning wheel making/fixing/improving classes then OMG girls.

Do you enjoy shooting things? I do. Find a friend that also enjoys shooting things. Make a pastime of it

A buddy of mine and I thoroughly enjoy shooting the cr*p out of things we are PO'd with on weekends. I destroy a lot of computer and networking gear. Ever done skeet shooting with hard drives? We have.

Did this guy that isn't returning your calls do anything with you besides talking to you on the phone? You need to have stuff to DO. Talking on the phone is boring. Blowing things up on the other hand is not boring, and now we are back at the first part of my post

Friendships are supposed to be reciprocal. If you feel distanced from your buddy, you need to find a task that you'll both enjoy to get you back into the swing of things. It has to be at least as much fun as his new girl is, keep that in mind.

When a person will no longer accept my calls or answer their door when I arrive, I drop them as friends.

There are seven billion more people to make friends with on this planet.

I had a good friend of 40 years that I now ignore. He "changed" suddenly. Mostly due to his current wife and living situation.

I would not have believed it as we both grew up "good kids" proud of our good behavior. But later in life, he became a convicted felon, not once, but twice. He now wants things like "the vote for felons", "government provided employment", and all manner of free stuff. Thinks the world owes him something.

I dunno what happened to him, but he sits home and if Home Depot, Lowes or Wal-Mart won't hire him, he won't work. Well, they don't hire felons. So he uses this as his excuse to avoid working.

All due to his spouse.

Ugh.

Life changes, friends come and go. Everyone has priorities that change throughout their life, and if you're a true friend you'll understand that.

You need to learn to live with yourself and, if you need a lot of social contact expand your circle of friends. Keep in mind that they day may come when your own life priorities change and your focus shifts.

If you really want a true best friend that will always dote on you and put you and your needs first, get a dog.

A friend of mine I've known for 30 years is like this...he almost never answers my call (when I call) and I'll leave a voicemail...sometimes he calls me back, sometimes not...never could figure out why people are flakey like this...

I love shooting things...problem is, ammo is no longer available, or is prohibitively expensive...we either need people to stop hording ammo, or open more ammo plants so we can produce more...

"Do people still say Bang?" Line from the movie "Crazy, Stupid, Love".

New girl might be high maintenance and is sapping up all his time. Kind of a common thing to happen. Get out and meet some pretty ladies and you'll forget about this quickly. Happy hours to loosen you up, art museum etc...

since you will never run out of electronic devices to shoot at, but you may run out of ammo, can i recommend going the "eraser" movie path and build one of those electromagnetical guns/projectile dispensers?
imagine how many hdd you can take at once....

OP, 2 words: "yes man"
