I like the port installed VW mats called muddy buddy but company is weatherTech on them besides VW.
HuskyLooking for floor mats for the wife's new Ford Escape. What's everyone buying these days? Have had weathertech in the past. Just wondering if there's anything better out there. Thanks

I'm looking for more carpet mats. The name is silly, but 3D Maxpider Kagu mats are pretty decent if you want something different.
If those are not to your liking, the Husky X-Act Contour are an improvement over the original Husky mats (a bit softer material, less slip).
I have the Kagu mats in all our vehicles. 3D also has carpeted all weather mats for some car models. The name is silly, but 3D Maxpider Kagu mats are pretty decent if you want something different.

I'm looking for carpeted mats, I am the staff that has to vacuum them out. Ha!I don't like plush floormats in daily drivers or vehicles that get driven a lot. They are nice in luxury cars that the staff keeps clean.Rubber mats suck, too because debris invariable falls off the floormats. Floor liners, the tray-like ones by WeatherTech or Husky work for me. Just pop them out, pour out the sand, mud, leaves, and sea lice, hose them off, dry them off, and pop them back in after vacuuming the carpeting. A must is a locking mechanism because I can't stand floor liners that slip and slide.
I have LONG felt WeatherTech is WAY over-rated. Never understood the hype.I have Kagu in 2 cars and WeatherTech in another the Kagu are much nicer, the WeatherTech doesnt live up to the hype IMO.
I will look into that now. ThanksI just get OEM mats from ebay. There are at least 10 people selling new sealed OEM mats for any vehicle you need. Find the part number and search that way.
I don't like Weather Tech (though I do respect their quality and US based manufacturing) because having a wet floor mat puddles water which leaves wet soles and can be slippery on an epoxied garage floor. If you're in construction and carry a lot of mud, that's another story.

Are they really leather? I bought a set of that style of Chinese made floor mats for my E350. They did look very nice, and they fit very well. But they were not that good of material, and after only a few months, they wore through. So they ended up in the trash.I purchased a set for the front of my Corolla from customcarmats.com
They are black leather with beige stitching.

My Bronco came with the Ford all-weather and they’re great. Heard the cargo mat is the best of the bunch too so I’ll probably get that from Ford as well.Consider the Ford OEM rubber matts if they are available for your vehicle. I found a set for my Focus and they are high quality.
They are fake leather. I hope they last longer than a few months. We shall see. Did you get your mats from carmatscustom.com also??Are they really leather? No. I bought mine from a seller on ebay. There was a bunch of ads on ebay for that style of custom floor mats. I picked one that had a high positive rating for the seller, and went with it. I often wondered if there are dozens of little shops in China that make these style of floor mats, or if all these dozens of ads all belong to a small handful of shops. Who knows. I have a back-up set of plush, thick custom carpet set from LLYOD's. I bought the second set because I wasn't sure I would ever get my set from China.
